FESS® Little Noses® Saline Nasal Drops and Spray

A young baby’s natural instinct is to breathe through their nose – even when it is blocked. This can make their life very frustrating, disrupting sleep, nursing and feeding. That’s why it’s so important to keep your baby’s nose clear.

FESS® Little Noses® is a gentle saline solution that loosens and thins mucus to help clear a blocked nose, so your baby can breathe easier, naturally. It’s non medicated so can be used as often as needed, from the day your baby’s born.

How does FESS® Little Noses® work?

FESS® Little Noses® works by loosening and thinning nasal mucus and moisturising dry nasal passages. This helps to clear stuffy noses, allowing your baby to breathe easier. As babies insist on breathing through their nose, a clear nose is essential prior to feeding and sleeping.

FESS® Little Noses® Drops convenient bottle is ideal for newborn babies allowing a gentle application of non-medicated saline into the littlest nose.

FESS® Little Noses® is also available in a convenient and easy to use spray.

FESS® Little Noses® can be used as often as necessary.

Nasal Congestion

Babies naturally prefer to breathe through their nose (they are “obligate nasal breathers”), so nasal congestion (also known as a blocked or stuffy nose) in an infant can interfere with breastfeeding and sleep and can cause respiratory distress.

Nasal congestion can cause mild facial and head pain and a degree of discomfort, as well as interfere with the ears, hearing, and speech development. Significant congestion may interfere with sleep, cause snoring and can be associated with sleep apnoea.

The common cold

Most commonly, nasal congestion is caused by the common cold- for which unfortunately there is no cure!

Your baby’s immune system will need time to get stronger, however, you can help by making your baby feel more comfortable and by preventing the infection from getting worse. Plenty of rest and drinking liquids are crucial, and your baby will need to be able to breathe properly to do either of these things. Stuffy noses may also linger for a few weeks even when the cold is over.

Treatment of Nasal Congestion

How to clear a baby’s nose?

In order to breathe, babies must get rid of the mucus clogging their nasal passages. But because babies can’t blow their nose, they rely on you to provide the appropriate help.  Using FESS Little Noses® Saline Drops or Spray can help clear stuffy noses and thin nasal mucus to help your baby breathe easier, naturally.

Rinsing your baby’s nose with FESS Little Noses® will also help to clear out allergy-causing microscopic particles of dust and pollen that cling to their inner nasal membranes.

FESS® Little Noses® is a non-medicated saline solution which can be used as often as your baby needs.

Just a few drops or sprays will help thin and loosen excess mucus.

How to use FESS® Little Noses® Saline Nasal Sprayback to top

The easy to use spray pump has been specifically designed to produce a soft spray ideal for little noses.

Hold your baby upright, place the nozzle at the entrance of each nostril.

Depress the spray pump. Apply 1 to 3 sprays per nostril.

Gently wipe mucus from the baby’s nose to prevent skin irritation.

This process should be done before you put your baby to sleep at least 15 minutes before a feed so that your baby can breathe and suck at the same time.
