The Xmaease ingredients explained

Natural Sense Colloidal Silver – is known to have antibacterial and antifungal properties. It’s uses are wide and varied, it is used in burn clinics all over the world to prevent infection and to greatly assist the skin’s healing rate.

Aloe Vera – has the unique ability to stimulate cell renewal. It is known for it's moisturising properties and enhances dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness.

Calendula Oil – Calendula oil has excellent anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, making it beneficial to sore, inflamed itchy skin conditions. It promotes healing, increases collagen production and cell regeneration. It also aids in the reduction of scars making it ideal for many skin conditions. Extremely soothing and gentle enough for the most delicate skin.

Jojoba Oil – is a liquid wax that mimics the sebum naturally present on the skin.  It softens and soothes rough skin to give a smooth appearance without blocking pores.

Apricot Kernel Oil – contains essential fatty acids which moisturise, revitalise and soften the skin. Apricot kernel oil forms a barrier on the skin’s surface to slow the loss of water but does not leave an oily feel to the skin.

Vitamin E – is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals and prevent cellular damage from occurring. Vitamin E is one of the most powerful antioxidants.

Vitamin C – is an essential nutrient required for collagen production and tissue repair, combined with antioxidant properties that help fight free radical damage to the skin.

Evening Primrose Oil – moisturises and softens dry or damaged skin. It contains gamma linoleic acid which is thought to play an important role in maintaining healthy skin. Some studies suggest that this is lacking in some people with eczema.

Beeswax – is known to lock in moisture, foster cells, and protect skin from damaging environmental factors. It effectively softens skin and creates a long-lasting protective coating against the elements.

Avocado Oil  – is a rich and extremely deep penetrating oil, rich in vitamins A, D and E, lecithin, as well as potassium. It furthermore contains proteins, lecithin, beta-carotene and more than twenty percent essential unsaturated fatty acids. Avocado oil is easily absorbed into deep tissue, and with its wonderfully emollient properties, makes it ideal for mature skins. It also helps to relieve the dryness and itching of psoriasis and eczema.

Hypericum Oil – Protects and hydrates the skin keeping it soft and smooth. Its soothing properties protects and hydrates skin, making it like velvet, especially for dry and reddened skin from external elements such as sun, wind and low temperatures.

Comfrey Extract – is beneficial for skin health and decreasing inflammation. The plant contains the small organic molecule allantoin, which is thought to stimulate cell growth and repair while simultaneously depressing inflammation. Scientists and physicians agree that the use of Comfrey is safe for topical use in small amounts.

Grapefruit Seed Extract – is antibacterial and antiseptic which acts as a natural preservative to protect products from bacteria.

Provitamin B5 – is a potent moisturizer & softener of the skin, it makes the skin more elastic, soothes irritated skin with its anti-inflammatory properties.

Vitamin A – is a wonderful vitamin for the skin for so many reasons. Vitamin A helps to protect the skin from free radical damage, in addition to speeding the cell renewal process. Vitamin A contributes to a healthy, youthful glow.

Carrot Oil – Carrot Tissue oil is cold pressed from the flesh of whole carrots, making it extremely rich in Beta Carotene, Vitamins A, B, C, D and E and essential fatty acids. It is excellent for damaged skin and is beneficial for dry skin, aging or wrinkled skin & is known to help skin regeneration and to moisturise.

Manuka Oil – is known for its antibacterial /antifungal, anti-allergenic and anti inflammatory properties and to therefore help in the relief of skin. Researchers have found it to be well tolerated by the skin and to be helpful for itchy and irritated skin and scalp.

Lavender Oil – A natural antiseptic & anti-inflammatory widely used for skin problems like acne, eczema, dermatitis, and insect bites.

All put together in a low irritant, non-greasy base containing:

Benzyl alcohol & dehydroacetic acid – is a broad-spectrum preservative blend. It is an effective alternative to parabens. Not animal tested & Eco-certified.

Emulsifying wax – is a cosmetic emulsifying ingredient.

Glycerin – is used in medical and pharmaceutical and personal care preparations, mainly as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication.

Glyceryl Mono Stearate – is an organic molecule used as an emulsifier. It occurs naturally in the body as a by-product of the breakdown of fats.

Ceto Stearyl alcohol – imparts an emollient feel to the skin and can be used in water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions. It is widely used in personal care products.

Stearic Acid – is a natural fatty acid occurring in vegetable fats. It has good emulsifying & thickening properties (stabilizes emulsions) and gives a soft waxy, pearly & cooling feel on the skin.

The story of Xmaease

"What better way to treat your family"

Finding a natural steroid-free product was a difficult process. When Jaxon was diagnosed I was at the point of desperation. I wanted so much to take away my sons discomfort and help him. I took him to the Doctor and after trying creams that had little or no effect, she referred us to a skin specialist. The specialist recommended I use a steroid cream along with a Fatty Lemnis cream and Aqueous cream. After reading the ‘fine’ print, I was really unhappy to use the steroid based cream (even if was only .1%) as a prolonged way to treat my sons skin and I didn’t enjoy using the Aqueous – the Fatty cream feels ok, however it is made of synthetic ingredients and I always preferred to use natures ingredients where possible.

It is mostly common knowledge that the prolonged use of steroids can have significant long term effects on the body – it works, I don’t deny that, and I was relieved to see him improve dramatically, yet I was very keen to find a natural product that I could use on an ongoing basis to help keep his skin healthy and in good condition.

So then the search began! I spent hundreds of dollars going to the Naturopaths, and other alternative healers. I started researching the condition and found it was a very difficult process to find a reasonable cure – in fact there doesn’t seem to be a cure. One of the most frustrating things I found was that there was very little support for families dealing with skin conditions – ( fortunately this has changed over the past few years with the set up of Allergy New Zealand.) I had to find and talk to many people to gain my knowledge and to make an informed decision on how I could get to the ‘root’ of the problem and find a suitable treatment plan.

I found that skin conditions could be due to many different things, I look at it now as 3 differing groups of what causes it to happen,
  1. Genetics – If you have a history of Asthma, Hayfever and Eczema in the family then you may have a predisposition to it.
  2. Environmental – The body or skin reacting to or allergic to external factors – such as washing powder, wool etc.
  3. Food Allergy – Intolerance to food such as wheat or dairy products, citrus etc which is very common.
To cut a long story short – I put Jaxon on a supplemented diet for a few months and I worked extensively with Dr Travis Blood (my then business partner) to develop xmaease to promote the natural healing and moisturising of his dry skin. Jaxon has been using xma ease for several years now, and what a difference it has made – he has been steroid free since! What better way to treat your family – naturally!

I feel absolutely blessed to be able to bring this to the market and show people my confidence in this product, that is why I am personally backing xma ease as I feel it important to put a face to the product , it adds credibility and I am putting myself on the line because I believe in it – it helps maintain Jaxon’s skin and keeps it healthy, and I want people to have the confidence to try it.
